The US Department of Defense is undergoing a digital transformation in the way it accomplishes major acquisition programs. This involves, in part, an adoption Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) in lieu of programmatic, technical, and requirements documents and developing a “digital thread” to link those models cohesively together.
