This paper examines the state-of-the-art of Quality of Service (QoS) control for wireless Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANETs) based on an exhaustive literature search comprising over 70 journal papers and conference proceedings and standardization development, per the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and the Internet Engineering Task Force. Site visits to selected United States Government facilities augmented this literature search by addressing –real-world” models for a comprehensive series of follow-on simulations and analyses.
