Within Texas Instruments’ defense business (DSEG), high-level managers recognized the need to improve the productivity of the systems engineering staff, and tasked a group of experienced systems engineers to execute a Systems Engineering Design Automation Landmark Study. This study was built on an analytical understanding of our systems engineering process, and included a survey of the systems engineering staff, a systems engineerng market analysis, analysis of systems engineering automation requirements, and an implementation plan for systems engineering automation.
