This paper suggests that the time is right for the adoption of a position by NCOSE to define and defend a strong undergraduate Systems Engineering curriculum. This would lead to the formal definition of SE career paths directly out of college which, in turn, should reduce the net time required to become a viable senior Systems Engineer.
