23 August 2027- 25 August 2027
HSI2027, the Fourth International Conference on Human Systems Integration (HSI), will take place in London, UK, from 23 to 25 August 2027, in conjunction with the 23rd Triennial World Congress of the International Ergonomics Association (IEA).
Under the theme “Navigating Complexity,” the conference will address how people, technology, processes, organizations, and operating environments interact within complex sociotechnical systems. Systems engineers are strongly encouraged to participate.
HSI provides an opportunity to bring systems engineering methods and experience into a broader community of human factors, ergonomics, and HSI practitioners. It is also an opportunity to demonstrate how HSI can improve system performance, safety, user experience, resilience, and mission outcomes.
The Call for Submissions is open until 1 November 2026. Contributions as long abstract can include research proposal, practitioner case studies, PhD research, workshops, and panel proposals.
The conference particularly welcomes practical experience and lessons learned from systems engineering projects and operational environments. Share your experience, methods, tools, and lessons learned. Bring real system challenges and practical solutions to an international audience. Help demonstrate the value of HSI as an integral part of systems engineering.
The submission deadline is 1 November 2026. Submit your contribution through the IEA2027 submission portal and join the HSI community in London in August 2027.
