Industry has long desired seamless traceability between requirements, architecture, and verification models. Unfortunately, many efforts to establish requirements management models have historically relied on creation of hierarchical documents – an approach which impedes reuse of requirements and hinders automated analysis of system designs relative to the requirements.
Early investigations with the SysML v2 plugin in Cameo Systems Modeler 2026x show that Systems Engineers can finally leave the document-centric paradigm in the past by implementing requirements reuse mechanisms and reimagining how requirements are structured, including the use of parameterized constraints. Implementing such an approach to requirements definition enables early-stage verification of requirements. Attendees will gain insight on deploying the expressive power of SysML v2 to attain a more integrated system model with traceability between the requirements and the architectural design.
