The NAFEMS-INCOSE Systems Modeling & Simulation WG holds its 77th Community meeting on September 29, 2026 at 11am CT. Details are below.
We will have the following agenda:
* Welcome and Introduction – Peter Coleman, Chair SMSWG & Frank Popielas, Co-Chair SMSWG
* “Information Standards for Long Term Archiving and Retrieval – LOTAR – why does it matter for Systems modelling & simulation“ – Kyle Hall , Airbus, UK
* Q&A and open discussion Coinciding with the 2026 Q3 LOTAR workshop in Frankfurt, this community meeting will provide an up-to-date overview of the current status of information standards for Long Term Archiving and Retrieval – known as LOTAR – with a particular focus on LOTAR for MBSE & CAE information.
The presentation will propose why this is important for the systems modelling & simulation community. The presenter is Kyle Hall from Airbus Operations Ltd in the UK, who is also a co-chair for the INCOSE working group on TIMLM (Tools Integration and Model Lifecycle Management) as well as Europe lead for the LOTAR International MBSE Workgroup.
