The IS2006 theme "Systems Engineering: Shining Light on the Tough Issues" focuses on the extreme challenges that systems engineers face in bringing products and services to market at top speed. Expect fascinating systems engineering topics in the areas of architecture, integration, verification, validation, modeling, simulation, specialty engineering, management, education, research to address issues with nano-technology use, domestic security from terrorism, expanding energy needs, engineering process improvement, mission identification and assurance, complex systems of systems, extensively networked systems, systems and software engineering convergence, use of open-source software and hardware, architecting through simulation and modeling, data exchange standardization, space exploration, and weather and seismic prediction. International participation gives you the opportunity to exchange ideas with peers from many fields and countries.
The three Florida INCOSE chapters (Orlando, Space Coast, and Central Florida) are planning a fantastic symposium in the center of Florida's High Tech Corridor stretching from Cape Canaveral to Tampa Bay. The venue is the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate, a new full-service resort and golf course close to Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, and less than two hours from either Florida coasts with their delightful beaches.
