Announcing the Fifth Annual INCOSE / Stevens Doctoral Award

The INCOSE Doctoral Award for Promising Research in Systems Engineering and Integration provides a $5,000 cash grant to the candidate, a plaque, and recognition at the INCOSE Annual International Symposium scheduled for 9-13 July 2006 in Orlando, Florida, USA.
To be eligible for this prestigious award, the applicant must have been admitted to candidacy for the Ph.D. and have a research proposal approved by his or her doctoral committee. An application shall be submitted by the candidate who shall also request statements of support from each of two faculty members. Interested doctoral candidates must apply by 15 April 2006
The 2002 award was presented to Mr. Vassilis Agouridas, a Research Fellow and Ph.D. candidate at the University of Leeds in the UK.  In 2003, the recipient was Mr. Thomas Herald, Jr., a Senior Staff Systems Engineer at Lockheed Martin and Ph.D. candidate at the Stevens Institute of Technology.  Mr. James Benjamin, a Ph.D. candidate at Stanford University, was the recipient in 2004 and the 2005 award was presented to Mr. Gnana Bharathy, a Research Associate in the Ackoff Center and Ph.D. candidate at the University of Pennsylvania.
