The INCOSE Certification Program Office has updated the activities and Professional Development Unit (PDU) credits. The updated recertification activities are applicable to anyone granted CSEP or ASEP status as of 1 August 2009.  As part of the transition process to the new PDU definitions, professionals certified prior to that date may elect to apply for their next recertification per the new guidelines or per the original program recertification guidelines.

 

The PDUs were refined to better reflect the relative value of the activities to both the certified professional and the discipline of systems engineering. Limits have been added to several of the PDU activities to encourage a broad exposure to different learning and development opportunities. 120 PDUs are still required every three years for CSEPs and every five years for ASEPs.
