The Systems Engineering Society of Australia (SESA), the Southern Cross Chapter of The International Test and Evaluation Association (ITEA), and INCOSE Region VI come together to host SETE 2006 Project Success – Maximising Customer Satisfaction. Despite best endeavours to "keep it simple", the ever-increasing burden of demands and constraints, including environmental and technical factors, legal ramifications, rates of change of technology, etc. mean that many projects and systems become exceedingly complex. Regardless of the increased complexity, the Project Manager strives to achieve project success, thus ensuring the client is satisfied.

In theory, Systems Engineers take a holistic view to ensure that every issue is addressed. In practice, some questions get overlooked. Questions such as:
  • Who are the clients/customers/stakeholders/users?
  • What about customers internal to your organisation (e.g. CEO, shareholders) as well as external customers who must be satisfied?
  • What does the customer expect?
  • How do you manage Customer expectations?
  • How do you address the risks that interfere with providing satisfaction to your customers?
  • How do you close the loop on system acceptance?
  • What methods and techniques do you use to ensure that the right solution is delivered to your customer, on time and within budget?
Use this SETE 2006 conference to increase the probability of achieving project success in areas where there are complex projects, and maximise client satisfaction. Visit the conference website for more information.
