The INCOSE International Workshop is scheduled for February 7-10, 2010 (Sunday - Wednesday) in Phoenix, Arizona.  The INCOSE Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Workshop will begin prior to and continue for two days concurrently with the IW; dates are February 5-7, 2010 (Friday - Sunday) from 8:30 - 17:00.  This should be a very informative and energizing event for all involved, and provide an opportunity to both learn about the latest MBSE activities and contribute to the INCOSE MBSE Roadmap and Plans. All are invited to attend.  Registration is done when you register for the IW.

On Days one and two (Friday and Saturday), the workshop will include presentations by MBSE Challenge Teams on the 2-3 hard problems/challenges they solved and the 2-3 challenges that still need to be solved.  Additional presentations are scheduled to share recent updates on MBSE activity areas and related topics, including Model Management and the tie in to Product Life Cycle Management, MBSE Metrics, the Wymorian MBSE Approach, System Ontology, and updates on modeling languages SysML, UPDM, and OPM.  Working sessions will also be held to engage the workshop participants in identifying MBSE challenges that need to be addressed to move MBSE forward.

On the third day (Sunday), the participants will be organized into teams to evaluate and refine the MBSE road-map, and develop specific tasks/activities that need to be incorporated into the plan to achieve objectives as outlined in the MBSE component of the Systems Engineering Vision.  Finally, the participants will participate in defining and planning communication mechanisms, MBSE Projects, and MBSE Metrics for assessing our progress.  Please come prepared to contribute.
