Date:  21 December 2011
Time: 15:00 UTC
Presenter(s): Professor Avraham Shtub
General Webinar Details: Webinar 38

Abstract:
The INCOSE reference curriculum for graduate programs in systems engineering addresses the knowledge needed to practice the systems engineering approach. An approach aimed at considering both the business and the technical needs of the stake holders with the goal of providing a quality product that meets these needs. The reference curriculum focuses mostly on WHAT should be taught and less so on HOW it should be done.
This presentation discusses the application of simulation Based Training (SBT) as part of the curriculum for a graduate program in systems engineering – it summarizes the experience gained in teaching project management to graduate Systems Engineering students using a Simulation Based Training (SBT) tool. The SBT tool used is the Project Team Builder (PTB). PTB principles are presented along with the evolution of the way PTB was used to teach graduate Systems Engineering students based on the lessons learned from our experience
