Webinar 15:00 UTC: "Systems Engineering and System of Systems Engineering Using the Dual V Model"

Systems Engineering (SE) and System of Systems Engineering (SoSE) using the V-Model continue to be two of the least well-understood SE disciplines.

INCOSE Webinar: "Systems Engineering and System of Systems Engineering Using the Dual V Model"

Date:  20 March 2013
Time: 15:00 UTC/ 11am EDT
Presenter(s): John Clark
General Webinar Details: Webinar 50

Abstract:
Systems Engineering (SE) and System of Systems Engineering (SoSE) using the V-Model continue to be two of the least well-understood SE disciplines.  Knowledge of the V-Model and particularly the 3-dimensional Dual-V Model significantly aids this understanding, including the relationship between SE and SoSE. The goals of this presentation are to: 1) describe the original V-Model and the Dual-V Model; 2) show how to apply these V-Models to systems and complex SoSs; and 3) encourage and challenge the participants to understand, select, tailor, and apply these V-Models to systems and complex SoSs.  Individuals may have an understanding of portions of SE and SoSE based on other sources.  The V-Model and Dual-V Model provide a more complete and common understanding.
