Abstract: The session will focus on the Model-based Conceptual Design Working Group, particularly their 14 essays in the December 2014 INCOSE INSIGHT. Jack will present his essay regarding the fuzzy front end of conceptual design --- identifying and clarifying the real problem --- then facilitate a discussion and scoring of all 14 essays.

Bio: Jack Ring discovered system engineering in 1957 thanks to A. Wayne Wymore and has applied the principles and practices during twenty years with General Electric in aerospace and intelligence, ten years with Honeywell in the computer industry and twenty seven years coaching high tech turnarounds and startups including Edelbrock Corp., Ascent Logic Corp. and IBM Object Technology Practice. Jack has collected high marks for papers, presentations and tutorials at conferences in the U.S., Australia, Europe, and Israel. He was named Fellow of the International Council on Systems Engineering in 2003. Semi-retired he serves as co-founder of Kennen Technologies LLC, co-founder and Managing Member of OntoPilot LLC and co-founder and managing member of Educe LLC.
