Every January we gather to celebrate the contributions of our Los Angeles Chapter members, honor our volunteer leaders, and seek inspiring visions for the coming year. Dr. Azad Madni will install our new officers and directors. Our featured speaker at 6:50pm is Todd M. Nygren, Vice President, Defense Space Acquisition, The Aerospace Corp. on the topic "Systems Engineering Space" -- "As space becomes increasingly contested and congested, our systems engineering methods must evolve to effectively specify and integrate multiple complex systems. This talk will explore how a rigorous mission engineering process can expand systems thinking beyond individual designs to advance Systems-of-Systems Engineering. We’ll discuss its importance in the face of emerging hard problems and potential approaches for implementation."
