Barclay Brown, INCOSE Chief Information Officer

Barclay R. Brown is Associate Director at Raytheon Technologies, and a former Raytheon systems engineering Fellow focused on model based systems engineering methods and artificial intelligence. Before joining Raytheon, he was the Global Solution Executive for the Aerospace and Defense Industry at IBM. A frequent speaker at conferences on systems thinking, technology and AI, Dr. Brown holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, master’s degrees in Psychology and Business and a PhD in Industrial and Systems Engineering. He has taught systems engineering and systems thinking at several universities, and is a certified Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP), certified Systems Engineering Quality Manager, and CIO of INCOSE, the international professional society for systems engineers

Todd Tuthill, Vice President for Aerospace and Defense Strategy and Marketing at Siemens Digital Industry Software.

Todd joined Siemens in June of 2022 after more than 30 years in the Aerospace and Defense industry. Todd’s engineering background is in systems design with functional engineering and program leadership roles and a strong vision for digital transformation. His aerospace leadership career spans McDonnell Douglas/Boeing, Moog, Raytheon, and Siemens. His experience encompasses all aspects of A&D programs, including design, model-based systems engineering, software engineering, lean product development, supplier/partner management and program management. In his new role at Siemens, he is a passionate advocate for the advancement of digital transformation across the A&D industry.

Brett Hillhouse, Global Leader for IBM Sustainability Software.

His responsibility includes industry and technology strategy, as well customer success for automotive companies around the world.  His 25+ years of industry experience includes transformation engagements at global automotive and aerospace OEM's and Tier 1 suppliers. The scope of these engagements include transformation of product development, reuse strategy and implementation, manufacturing 4.0, supply chain management and compliance consulting.  Previously, Brett has held several industry and leadership positions at IBM and Siemens (formerly SDRC). He holds a BS in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Cornell University.

Stephanie Sharo Chiesi, doctoral candidate at Stevens Institute of Technology in the School of Systems and Enterprises.

Stephanie is currently a Principal Aerospace Systems Engineer at Blue Origin and Digital Thread lead for Orbital Reef. Prior to joining Blue Origin, she has held several roles in aerospace and defense including Chief Digital Engineer at SAIC, Senior Principal Systems Engineer at Raytheon Missiles and Defense, and senior systems engineering roles at Paragon Space Development Corporation and Draper Laboratory. Ms. Chiesi is a CSEP and member of the first cohort of the INCOSE Technical Leadership Institute, as well as an inventor with 5 awarded patents. Ms. Chiesi holds two bachelor’s degrees (Aeronautics/Astronautics and Biology) and a master’s degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics all from MIT.

Troy Peterson, SSI Vice President and Fellow

Troy is a recognized leader in developing model-based solutions to speed innovation and solve complex systems challenges. He has led the delivery of numerous complex systems and methodologies while at SSI, Booz Allen, and Ford Motor Company. His experience spans academic, non-profit, commercial, and government environments across all lifecycle phases. Troy has led INCOSE’s Transformation and FUTURE as a board member and is  Co-Chair of the MBSE Initiative and MBSE Patterns Working Group. Troy received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University, an MS in Technology Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and an advanced graduate certificate in Systems Design and Management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He also holds INCOSE CSEP, PMI PMP, and ASQ Six Sigma Black Belt Certifications.

Garrett Thurston - Global Program Digital Transformation Senior Director

Garrett Thurston, in his Global Transformation role works with key strategic accounts in the Aerospace & Defense segment using his industry knowledge as a backdrop to understand their business strategies, business models, operating models, and product strategies.  Dr. Thurston marshals Dassault Systèmes institutional resources to manage their time to value and the value extent achieved. 

Prior to joining Dassault Systèmes, Garrett built and managed an AD&S—Aerospace, Defense & Security business. In addition, he was directly involved in several key clients including Rolls-Royce, CMC, and Boeing.

Garrett has a Doctorate in Engineering; his dissertation was DARPA Funded program where focused on modeling and simulation and classical and modern control systems development to stabilize an open-loop unstable system. Garrett’s areas of study also include terrorism, social engineering, and intelligence, secrecy, and policy.
