Abstract: This session focuses on Model-Based Product Line Engineering. It offers a comprehensive overview of both the management and engineering dimensions of MBPLE. It addresses real-world challenges and implementation experiences, focusing on the practical obstacles organizations face when adopting MBPLE, and how to overcome them for successful, scalable adoption. The message is clear and relevant to all engineering organizations: "No one builds just one."
Bios:
Marco Forlingieri: Senior Director for Solutions Engineering at PTC, leading the biggest PLE expert´s pool in the world. He has several years of experience in the field of MBSE and PLE mainly within aerospace, defense, automotive and railway industries in Europe, China and North America. He chairs the INCOSE PLE Working Group and is the leading author of the book MBPLE: The Feature-Based Path to Product Lines Success, published by Wiley.
Tim Weilkiens: Consultant and executive board member of oose. He has more than 20 years experience in the field of MBSE. He is one of the core developers of SysML v1 and SysML v2. Tim published many books about modeling and he is author of the MBSE methodology SYSMOD. With VAMOS he published a tool-independent approach for modeling variants with SysML. He is author of the book MBPLE: The Feature-Based Path to Product Lines Success, published by Wiley.
Hugo Guillermo Chalé Gongora: Head of Product Lines and Multidisciplinary Analysis and Optimization (MDAO) at Airbus. He has over twenty-five years of experience in Systems Engineering and Product Line Engineering in the Energy, Infrastructure, Automotive, Railway and Aerospace & Defence sectors, where he has worked on the tailoring and application of SE, MBSE and PLE to the development of systems and products. He is founder and former chair of the PLE International WG, former founder and chair of the Automotive WG and co-author of the book MBPLE: The Feature-Based Path to Product Lines Success, published by Wiley.
