The 8th edition of INCOSE India Chapter Pune circle event hosted on 14th December 2018 at John Deere India facility was a special one. For the first time, we did a live broadcast of the event on WebeX for INCOSE India members with participations from Bangalore and Hyderabad. What made this event really special was a talk on Model Based Systems Engineering by Dr. Manas Bajaj, Co-founder of Intercax, Co-author of OCSMP program and an active contributor of SysML specification.
We kicked off the event by an introduction to INCOSE India Chapter followed by Manas’s talk, and later networking over high-tea. Manas covered very important important topics like “What is systems engineering?”, “What is MBSE”, “Where is SYSML headed, and “SysML 2.0 RFP”. There was a great enthusiasm in the audience, participating from Eaton, Cummins, Intercax and John Deere India. We had some great questions regarding the future of SysML, MBSE tools, and also practices in general, both from online and in-person participants. This discussion went on for at least an hour over Tea. Overall, it was a successful event with good sharing of knowledge and ideas.
