Meeting Description:
Our speaker, Eric Ong, (see his bio below) will explain how security-by-design in software system engineering is a proactive approach that integrates security considerations at every stage of development. Rather than being an add-on, security features are woven into the system's foundation, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing robust measures during the design phase. By adopting this methodology, developers create resilient systems inherently protected against diverse threats, enhancing the system's ability to withstand attacks. This approach not only ensures data and privacy protection but also fosters user trust. Ultimately, security-by-design recognizes cyber security as a fundamental aspect of software engineering, essential for building reliable and trustworthy digital solutions.
