Abstract

In today’s competitive aerospace and defense (A&D) markets, companies must have efficient processes to develop and propose system configurations that can be delivered on time, are responsive to the RFP, technically feasible, and competitively priced. Brian Christensen from Dassault Systèmes will present how companies use the "Winning Program" software solution to empower employees with secure access to full-program data, enhanced trade studies management, and the ability to define and manage proposed system configurations.

For any team, it is important for everyone to understand what is being done and the decisions being made. Winning Program provides the ability to model the entire systems infrastructure including the requirements, functional, logical, and physical architectures in a behavior based virtual mock-up; providing an understanding of how all the different systems work and behave together. Winning Program includes technology that enables systems-based design. Nonlinear solvers and optimizers automatically generate massive amounts of design iterations which enables engineers to take a functionally architected product and run it through use cases, scenarios and performance envelopes to understand resultant behavior. Because the product and system operational envelopes are included in the behavioral mockup, R&D teams can drive significant maturity into the design very early on. These capabilities enable A&D companies to configure the right concept for their customers and recognize from the earliest stages of the program how it can be delivered on budget and on time.
