Abstract
Systems Thinking for Sustainability - A Proposal for International Cooperation In a world facing complex sustainability challenges, systems thinking emerges as an essential tool. This proposal addresses the need for international cooperation to apply systemic thinking in the pursuit of sustainability. It identifies issues such as missed opportunities, ineffective actions, and a lack of systems thinking skills that hinder change toward sustainability. Key themes include organizational and institutional change, energy transition, promoting scientific vocations, migration and employment management, and education. Emphasis is placed on action, adaptation, and the design of policies and strategies to address complexity effectively. The proposal seeks to guide institutions and governments towards stronger governance and sustainable security. This presentation includes a brief presentation of the Systems Engineering Program of the Autonomous University of Bucaramanga, the Colombian Association of System Dynamics and the System Dynamics Society, as well as the potential for cooperation with INCOSE in realizing the transition to sustainability.
