Welcome to the Midwest Gateway Chapter

Welcome to the Midwest Gateway Chapter of INCOSE. We are based in the St Louis region, from Rolla to the Metro East. The Midwest Gateway Chapter of INCOSE was founded in St. Louis in 1992. Over the years we've hosted the INCOSE Symposium and the Conference on Systems Engineering Research (CSER), and been the home chapter of national and regional INCOSE leaders.

Abstract:

Join us on May 13 for an interactive discussion on career progression and possibilities for Systems Engineers.  This meeting will be a discussion forum hosted by Ernie Kyed to enable everyone to learn and discuss career choices and challenges.  All participants will be welcome to join in the discussion and all members with all experience levels are encouraged to attend so more senior SE professionals can provide wisdom and advice to junior SE professionals and junior SE professionals can school senior SE professionals on what’s new and upcoming in the career field we are all pursuing and passionate about. 

Professional Biography:

Ernie_Kyed

Currently a Director of Electrical, TVC and Ordnance Engineering at Northrop Grumman Propulsion Systems, where Ernie has held progressively increasing roles of responsibility since 1987, when he first hired on.  Ernie earned a Masters Degree in Systems Engineering, a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Graduate Certificate in IT Project Management, all from Colorado State University.  Ernie has held numerous positions of Systems Engineering responsibilities including Requirements and Verification Engineer and Manager, System Test Engineer, Integration Engineer as well as other positions similar to SE discipline areas in Project Engineering and Program Management.  Ernie is also very involved in Configuration Management, Digital Transformation and Command Media.

The Midwest Gateway Chapter of INCOSE was founded in St. Louis in 1992. Over the years we've hosted the INCOSE Symposium and the Conference on Systems Engineering Research (CSER), and been the home chapter of national and regional INCOSE leaders. Many of our members are engaged in defense, biotech, connected devices, and academia. Most members are located in St. Louis and the surrounding area (from Missouri S&T in Rolla to Scott Air Force Base in the Metro East), but all are welcome to affiliate with us.
