2021 Systems Engineering Professional (SEP) Certification Group Study ‘Cohorts’ Sessions

The Los Angeles and San Diego chapters are hosting two independent group study (‘cohorts’) sessions for INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional (SEP) certification this Spring and Summer, 2021. This will be a collaborative weekly meeting where the ‘cohorts’ (students) virtually meet to discuss and present on the INCOSE Handbook, Version 4. This handbook is the basis for the SEP test.

Please note that these study sessions will conclude just prior to the 2021 Western States Regional Conference (WSRC) in San Diego, California, scheduled for 17-19 September 2021. The WSRC will offer an inexpensive SEP paper test, allowing the cohorts to apply what they’ve learned almost immediately after the sessions, giving each cohort a better chance of passing and obtaining their INCOSE ASEP or CSEP certification!

14-Week Cohorts Session (2 separate teams)

Dates and Times:

Afternoon Cohort – Wednesdays, 12-1PM, May 26 – Aug 25, 2021 (RSVP HERE)

Evening Cohort – Thursdays, 7:30-8:30PM, May 27 – Aug 26, 2021 (RSVP HERE)

(Note – You can sign up for one or both of the above cohort sessions)

Format: Each cohort is assigned one INCOSE Handbook topic area. If many sign up, then multiple cohorts will be assigned to the same area. Each week, a cohort 2-person team will present their assignment. Slides of their presentation will be uploaded to the common document repository NLT 24 hours beforehand (e.g., Tuesday at noon).

Notes – Students will be responsible for reading Chapter 2, Systems Engineering Overview BEFORE session 2. They are also responsible for reading Chapter 6, Agreement Processes (5 pages), on their own.
