Generating a Robust System Architecture Using ARCADIA Capella
Dear Systems and Software Engineering Colleagues:
This is the third session of our technical program offered by the
INCOSE Canada Chapter. In this session, we explore the topic of
"Generating a Robust System Architecture Using ARCADIA Capella" with Eric Dano, Associate Professor of Practice at the George Washington University.
System Architecture is
often attributed to defining 70% of the cost and capabilities of a
system. However, even after nearly two decades of Model-Based Systems
Engineering (MBSE), there is a lack of architecture-focused
methodologies and tools to aid programs in creating a robust,
transdisciplinary system architecture.
The Architecture Analysis
and Design Integrated Approach (ARCADIA) developed by Thales combines
language, methodology, and tools to ensure a robust, transdisciplinary
system architecture. The 5-step Architecture Development Method (ADM)
provides instance-based methodologies with rich viewpoints and views to
minimize redundancy and modeling time. Learn how to create a robust
architecture without modification and with added system context.
